Sandra Powell

Powell joined HSBC Australia in 2006 and has more than 25 years’ experience within the custody industry, covering areas including settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations and compliance.
Powell is the chair of the Australian Custodial Services Association’s corporate actions working Group and the SWIFT Securities User Group. She is also a member of the SWIFT National Member group and the industry corporate actions working group.
In recognition of her contribution to the industry groups, Powell was presented with the 2009 ACSA Award for Services to the Custody Industry.
Powell was a panelist at the 2010 and 2011 Investment and Technology conferences, the 2011 Computershare Issuer Forum and the 2011 Australian Investor Relations Association forum on the proxy voting process.
